This years National Storytelling Week runs 27th January – 3rd February 2007 and to celebrate National Storytelling Week, Orchard Square Shopping Centre Sheffield will be holding storytelling sessions at its Waterstones store.
Orchard Square’s 20 Year Art Competition - 16/01/2007
This year Orchard Square Shopping Centre, Sheffield celebrates its 20th anniversary. It will be exactly 20 years old in September and was officially opened by the late Emlyn Hughes way back in 1986.
To kick start this year’s celebrations Orchard Square is setting a competition for Primary School children here in Sheffield inviting them to join in with the 20 year celebrations by giving Elsie and Fred a virtual extreme makeover!

How depressing is it when you take down all of your Christmas decorations, Christmas cards and New Year cards?
Well this year why not make it a happy occasion, safe in the knowledge that your cards are going to a better place and bring them down to Orchard Square where TK Max will be collecting the cards as part of Recycle Now and The Woodland Trust’s Christmas Card Recycling Scheme.
Simply place your cards in the specific bins provided. The cards collected will be taken and recycled into new paper products. The monies raised will go to The Woodland Trust to save woods and trees as part of their ongoing work to protect and restore the UK’s native woodlands.
So bring your cards down to Orchard Square’s TK Maxx throughout January and help a good cause!
Christmas Fun at Orchard Square - 16/12/2006 11:00:00
Orchard Square will be full of the joys of Christmas with entertainment for all the family on Saturday December 16th.
Orchard Square will be bustling with Christmas entertainment so come down and be entertained whilst you shop. Giant reindeer and Christmas tree stilt walkers from Upshot Circus will form part of the entertainment on Saturday with balloons being handed out adding to the festive fun.
Sheffield Barber Shop Harmony Club will be singing Christmas carols and songs for all the shoppers in the square. They will be followed by the Concorde Drum and Bugle Core – can it be any more Christmassy?
So come on down shop ‘til you drop and soak up the Christmas atmosphere. Merry Christmas!
