The Body Shops Stop Sex Trafficking Event runs in store from the 15th July to the 21st July.

This is the second phase of their three year STOP campaign, and the main activity will centre on a petition which will be presented to national governments and to the United Nations in early 2011, urging them to change current legislation and put an end to the trafficking of children and young people in particular.

Body Shop are asking customers and supporters to join forces with their celebrities, who include Twilight Star Robert Patterson and A-lister Sienna Miller, and head down to their local Body Shop at Orchard Square to sign The Stop Sex Trafficking Petition in a personalised way – by drawing around their hand. The petition will be in store until December.

Not only will the petition be in store and the possibility of some celebrities during the week, but customers will also be able to help raise funds for ECPAT through the sale of a new cotton bag for £2.50 and the ‘Soft Hands Kind Heart’ Hand cream like last year.

The Body Shop has never shied away from tackling controversial issues and causes that others would avoid, and the STOP campaign is an amazing opportunity to make a difference to many children and young people’s lives!

So head down to The Body Shop at Orchard Square, show your support and make a difference!
